Mob kills a man over beef eating rumours, son critically injured

A mob killed a 50-year-old man in Dadri region of Uttar Pradesh (near Delhi) on Monday night reportedly over rumours that his family had eaten beef.
Mohammad Akhlaq was dragged out along with his 22-year-old son Daanish by the villagers of the region which is situated approximately 45 km from the national capital. Attacked with bricks, Akhlaq was beaten to death by the mob. While the man died even before he could be taken to the hospital, his son is reported to be critical.
