After a massive online outrage over the draft proposals of the new encryption policy. The government as of this morning, has made a u turn. Issuing a clarification, the government has now exempted whatsapp, social media from purview of encryption policy. Earlier proposals had said that a user will require to save his or her chats for 90 days on popular platforms like Whatsapp and iMessenger.
