Saudi Diplomat accused of raping two Nepalese women leaves from India

The Saudi Diplomat who was accused of raping & sexually assaulting two Nepalese woman left India late last night. This comes as a massive setback to the rape case in which Nepal has been demanding justice and stringent action against the accused. NewsX has learnt that the Saudi diplomat was withdrawn by his country before India could declare him persona non grata and expel him. The MEA had asked the Saudi authorities to waive his immunity so he could be investigated. The Saudi government refused and withdrew their diplomat which, sources said, was a tacit recognition that their defence was weak. Meanwhile Nepal's envoy has told NewsX that he will take up the matter with Saudi and Indian officials.
