The son of former Bihar chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi was held with Rs 4.65 lakh in cash on Sunday, police officials said, turning the spotlight on the possible use of money to lure voters in the poll-bound state
Police said Manjhi’s son Subham was held at Makhdumpur in Jehanabad, around 60km south of Patna, during a routine checking, which have been intensified after the Election Commission’s model code of conduct came into force.
