Nation at 9: By wading into the FTII row have netas made it more difficult to find a solution?

After a late night crackdown yesterday by the police, at the campus of the Film and Television Institute of India, there has been a massive uproar over the police action, as well as the behaviour of the students, In the latest, a video has surfaced where the students can be seen heckling the FTII Director, the students are not only shouting slogans but also misbehaving with the Director. Meanwhile, the 5 students who were arrested, were 1st remanded to 14 day judicial custody, then granted bail within hours. The students have been charged with unlawful assembly, rioting, wrongful restraint and criminal intimidation. But, the students are claiming a ruthless crackdown. But, the Director and the government maintain that there was no other way to control unruly students.
