There cannot be a greater letdown for a Soldier than this. While trying to save a teen from her molesters in Meerut, he was beaten to death. But thats not all, he was murdered in front f bystanders who refused to intervene while he was being lynched by eve-teasers. The martyred jawan Vedmitra Chaudhury was laid to rest with full state honours in his hometown. His family and friends are demanding justice asking the perpetrators to be hanged. The police has nabbed the alleged killers. It remains to be seen what the Uttar Pradesh government will do to improve the situation in the state.
