Nation at 9: Madras HC gives Dayanidhi Maran 3 days to surrender to CBI in Telephone Exchange case

In a fresh jolt to Former Telecom Minister Dayanidhi Maran, the Madras High Court has rejected his anticipatory bail plea in the illegal telephone exchange case. The DMK leader has been given 72 hours to surrender to the CBI that has been tasked to investigate the case. Maran faces charges of misusing office to illicitly construct an underground telecom exchange at his Chennai residence. With HC turning down his bail plea, the chorus for him to surrender is only growing stronger.
