Former cricketers to be affected under BCCI's 'no conflict of interest' clause
  • 5 years ago
Sources say that more than 5 former cricketers will be affected by BCCI's new 'no conflict of interest' clause. Sources say that former cricketers with dual roles may be asked to give up their commercial interests if they are to continue in administrative roles in the BCCI. Those affected include Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Ravi Shastri, Rahul Dravid amongst others. Biggest question marks remain over team director Ravi Shastri who also has commercial commentary contracts which has seen him skip the Zimbabwe tour, while Sachin, Dravid, Kumble & Laxman are all mentors of IPL teams while also holding roles in the BCCI.
