Net Neutrality: You can make Skype and WhatsApp calls abroad; not within India, industry reacts

The government panel on Net Neutrality has recommended that apps offering domestic calling be brought under the regulatory framework prescribed for telecom operators. The recommendation has sparked off a debate once again, where Netizens slamming government's move to provide only regulated freedom. In its report made public, the six-member panel, chaired by A.K. Bhargava, says 'apps offering domestic calling should be brought under regulatory framework' but international calling services should be exempted from licensing requirements.
