The latest twist in the Lalit Modi case suggest that there is a possibility of more support the former IPL czar. Lalit Modi reportedly sought Mumbai Police Commissioner Rakesh Maria's help as he was reportedly was being threatened by the underworld. According to Maria, he didn't gave any assurances. Now Rakesh Maria has come out with his a statement saying that he had filed a confidential report to the Director General of Police as well as the home department keeping them in the loop after he returned to India. Maria has clarified that he was in London to attend an Official Conference and it was on insistence of Lalit Modi's lawyer that he agreed to meet him. The maharashtra CM has asked Maria to provide information about his stament to media.
