Government awaits result on maggi tests
Shares of Nestlé India fell by more than 10 per cent after government food safety authorities launched a probe into its Maggie noodles, a popular product under scrutiny in recent weeks.

Regional media report the Kerala government has pulled Maggi noodles from the shelves. Ram Vilas Paswan, Delhi's minister of consumer affairs, said on Tuesday that the products were being tested for lead and excess monosodium glutamate.

A 10.2 per cent fall in Nestlé India has since been pared to 8.4 per cent, still the largest daily slide in nine years.
