Mumbai: The Shiv Sena has defended Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat over his comments that conversion to Christianity was the main objective behind Mother Teresa's service to the poor.

The Shiv Sena, in an editorial published in its mouthpiece Saamna on Wednesday, has endorsed Bhagwat's views saying that missionaries open centres in different countries to promote Christianity. The editorial praised Bhagwat for telling the "bitter truth".
