More than 700 people in India have died from swine flu

The H1N1 outbreak in India has killed 703 people in the last eight weeks, and the disease has infected more than 11,000 people.

The outbreak of H1N1, commonly known as swine flu, is believed to be the India's worst since 2009, and the total number of cases has more than doubled since Feb. 11. Elderly people, young children, pregnant women, diabetics, and HIV patients are most likely to develop complications from H1N1 infections.
