Floral tributes were paid here on Thursday as hundreds gathered to pay their last respects to to Colonel M N Rai who was killed in a gunbattle with militants in south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Tuesday.

Martyred hero Colonel M N Rai was accorded with Guard of Honour in the national capital. He lost his life fighting terrorists in Jammu & Kashmir's Tral just one day after being awarded a gallantry medal.


The martyred colonel's wife, two daughers and son were present in Delhi for the last rites. Army chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag and other top army officers were also present.
