Millitant Killed in Jammu & Kashmir: One policeman injured in the gunfight

One of the senior most militant commanders, who was active in Kashmir region since several years, died in a brief gunfight on the outskirts of capital Srinagar, Muzaffar Iqbal Naiko alias Muzze Molvi was intercepted by armed forces in Muchwa which borders Srinagar, sources said. The wanted insurgent engaged units of army and police’s counter insurgency special operations group in a fire fight before he died, Sources said a special counter insurgent policeman was injured in the gunfight and was removed to a hospital. Naiko, a close associate of slain Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Abdullah Uni, was from Sopore and had evaded arrest since 2008. Police accused him of killing two sisters in the northern Sopore town in 2011.
