On the visit:
Visit was good.
On relations:
There is no doubt that US attaches importance to India. In each of my meetings we have discussed stability and the cinema that we have regarding security. also how to explore economic potential thru this partnership
On meeting with defence minister:
Right now the pacific command is headquartered in Hawaii. The jurisdiction that they cover is 53%of the earth's surface large area of operations.
US dies note military to military exchanges with India than any other country so the partnership is strong and there is room to grow. That's what was discussed with minister Parrikar
On meeting with Jaitley and investor fears:
This has been a common theme thru many of the visits to various parts of India. The ease of doing business in terms of investors coming here or for that matter Indian businesses wanting to invest
If clearances become easy for local Indians it will also be easy for Americans to come here
On immigration laws:
It was brought up not just by govt people but also by communities in various cities that I visited
Need to update and change our policies is a concern here by many sectors
On security challenges in the region, pak:
Have spoken on this at great length about the growing that of Islamic terrorism.
Terrorist threat is not only real but also growing...
It will take joining if forces and dealing with it and also recognizing that this Islamic terrorism knows no allegiance to anyone....
We have to be able to move quickly and decisively to beat this threat
On 26/11, Lakhvi got bail recently:
Those conducting these acts in the name if God... We should see that Each of us take a strong stand against that and partner together to defeat this threat.
