केंद्रीय ट्रेड यूनियन के आह्वान पर मंगलवार से शुरू होने वाली दो दिवसीय हड़ताल का बैंकिंग क्षेत्र के कामकाज पर आंशिक असर पड़ने की संभावना है. बैंकिंग यूनियन के एक अधिकारी ने सोमवार को यह बात कही. केंद्रीय ट्रेड यूनियनों ने आठ और नौ जनवरी को दो दिन की आम हड़ताल का आह्वान किया है.
अधिकारी ने कहा कि इन दो दिन के दौरान देश के सबसे बड़े भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (SBI) में संभवत: कामकाज होगा. SBI की 85,000 शाखाएं हैं. इसके अलावा कुछ अन्य राष्ट्रीयकृत बैंकों में भी सामान्य कामकाज होने की उम्मीद है.

There could be a possible disruption in the banking services across the nation on January 8 and 9, 2019 as a two-day nationwide bank strike has been called by banking unions. The said bank strike on January 8-9, it happens, would be the second large-scale bank strike within the last 20 days. In December 2018, separate banking unions called for bank strikes on December 21 and 26 due to which a 5-day snag was witnessed in the banking facilities from December 21 to 26, barring December 24.
