Karnataka: Pre-University Principals' Association issues diktats for girl students

The Pre-University Principals' Association in Karnataka has issued a controversial set of guidelines to pre-university colleges in South Bengaluru over safety and security of women. Colleges will be expected to monitor the time when female students enter and exit the college.
College authorities also have to ensure that birthday parties and cultural celebrations take place during the day time. They now have the right to even monitor the internet activities of college students.
