Three days after PM Narendra Modi invited cricketer Sachin Tendulkar along with eight other prominent personalities to join his 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan', the Indian batting legend on Sunday performed the task successfully, urging his fans to be a part of the campaign. Later, he uploaded a video on social networking website Facebook, asking people to take part in the 'Clean India' mission.

In the video, dressed in a white T-shirt with the 'Swachh Bharat' message, the Master Blaster is seen along with his team, holding brooms and removing garbage from Mumbai’s streets.

On Gandhi Jayanti, Modi had launched the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, which aims to clean up the country by 2019. Besides Sachin, the PM had roped in other famous personalities that include actor Salman Khan, industrialist Anil Ambani, actor Priyanka Chopra, Goa governor Mridula Sinha, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, yoga guru Baba Ramdev, actor-producer Kamal Haasan and the team of television serial 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah'.

Swachh Bharat Abhiyan includes sweeping, removal of garbage, debris and unauthorised encroachments from roads, markets and residential places.
