TDP MP had asked women to dress in dignified a way

TDP MP Murli Manohar Maganti invited the ire of many across the country on Thursday when he remarked that women should dress in a dignified manner, during a discussion on atrocities against women in the Lok Sabha.
Maganti also said that women should uphold the Indian culture.
Reacting to the offensive remark, Brinda Karat, Politburo member of CPI(M)strongly condemned the statement saying that such a remark will help the accused and that other MPs should have objected to Maganti's statement.
