West Bangalore: 7 year old raped by school support staff’s son

In another shocker, a 7-year old girl was raped in the premises of Shantidham school by a staff support's son. A case has been registered against the accused and has been arrested, the police said. This is the second such incident within a span of 3 weeks, highlighting the sorry state of security in the schools here.
The incident was reported on July 21 when the victim's mother lodged a complaint. The medical report of the child is awaited.
Earlier a six-year old student was gangraped by her teachers in the premises of a renowned school-VIBGYOR. Parents had protested against the school authorities and launched peace march in the city. An all-Bangalore bandh was called on July 31st to wake up the state government for taking action against rapists.
Following protests by the parents, the state government issued security mandates for all the schools in the state, ensuring that such cases are not repeated.
