The atmosphere full of friendliness when Pakistan Nawaz Sharif attending the swearing in-ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi there was little evidence of any tension it was easy to forget then that was over and decade Modi had been demonised in Pakistan as a man who hated all Muslims and Pakistani in particular. It was even easier to forget there at least once before a similar encounter between Nawaz Sharif and BJP Prime Minister had been followed almost immediately by naked aggression.

The India Pakistan equation is both complicated and complex at one level every Indian politician knows that the two countries must live together in harmony. They deviance from peace are enormous from our point of view they would be trade which could benefit for us they defence budget would be lower this would free up for development and most significantly we finally had some freedom from terrorism. But despite attempts for both sides nothing has really worked every time we trying improved relations it's always two steps forward and three steps back.
