Criticisms continue to pour against Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi. Former Congress MP Gufran Azam on Monday accused the Gandhi scion of destroying the Grand Old Party of Indian politics. He said, "He thought the Youth Congress is a lab, did experiments and destroyed it. And he did the same with Congress."

Azam, also the chief of MP Waqf Board, also blamed party president Sonia Gandhi for the party's present situation. He said that things were much better when Sonia was directly heading the party.

"Things in Congress started going downhill when Rahul was made the in-charge," he said.

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Subramanian Swamy took the opportunity to take potshots at Rahul. He backed Azama's comments saying, "I have been saying since long that Rahul Gandhi is worthless.So he is right."
