12 year old rape victim left to fend for herself

A 12-year-old gangrape victim from Sikar in Rajasthan, who is fighting a silent battle against all odds, is forced to run from pillar to post for survival. The girl recently underwent 20th reconstructive surgery after being brutally gang raped some 16 months ago.
She was gang-raped by six men in Sikar in Rajasthan on August 20, 2012, when she along with her three sisters and a neighbour was returning home after watching the movie on the festival occasion of Eid.
Even after undergoing 17 surgeries in Jaipur's JK Lone Hospital last February, her condition did not improve and she was referred to All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), where she was underwent three major operations.
During her treatment at AIIMS, the girl, who is not being named to maintain her privacy, along with her family members had been living at Rajasthan House in Delhi for the past 11 months. But they were asked to leave Rajasthan Bhawan on Wednesday morning.
