Arvind Kejriwal seeks a week's time from Delhi LG
  • 5 years ago
In an ironic twist, the Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday met Delhi Lieutenant-Governor Najeeb Jung and submitted a letter seeking a week's time to explore possibilities of government formation.

The letter signed by Mr. Kejriwal requested Mr. Jung not to dissolve the Assembly if he was planning to do so. The move comes as a surprise as AAP had been demanding dissolution of the Assembly ever since it resigned from the government in mid-February and had approached the Supreme Court to seek the dissolution.

In the letter, Mr. Kejriwal proposed that the AAP would be taking people's opinion by conducting meetings on government formation.
