DMK chief's son, Stalin, takes back offer to resign
  • 5 years ago
MK Stalin has taken back his offer to resign as the Treasurer of the DMK hours after offering to quit owning responsibility for his party's dismal performance in national election. Mr Stalin was the face of the DMK's campaign, and his party failed to get a single seat in Tamil Nadu.

Senior party leader Durai Murugan said party chief M Karunanidhi had advised Mr Stalin against such move even as other leaders had asked him not to take such a 'tragic decision" as they were all with him.

"So he accepted our request and leader's advice also and withdrew" his resignation, he told reporters.
