Congress president Sonia Gandhi has cancelled her one-day Maharashtra tour citing health reasons. She was scheduled to address three election rallies in the state.

However, her son and Congress vice president would address a rally in Mumbai along with NCP chief Sharad Pawar. Congress leaders Raj Babbar and Ghulam Nabi Azad would accompany Mr Gandhi.

The Congress has not divulged any further details on Sonia Gandhi's health status.
