Supreme Court puts stay on nursery admissions

There seems to be no end to stalemate over the nursery admission process despite the Delhi High Court's nod. On Friday, the Supreme Court again put nursery admissions on hold in schools in the national capital.

On April 03, the Delhi HC had allowed schools to begin admitting toddlers who have been selected in draw of lots.
However, the Supreme Court today stayed the admissions on a petition by parents who challenged the HC's order, saying children who have shifted from a different state to Delhi will get no quota.

The Supreme Court further issued a notice to the Delhi government.
