DMK Treasurer M K Stalin slammed the Centre for abstaining from voting on US-sponsored resolution against Sri Lanka at the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in Geneva as he claimed credit for the party for the past votes by India against the island nation.

India had voted against Sri Lanka on three previous occasions due to the "pressure" exerted by his party, which was then a partner of UPA. However, the government was boldened and abstained from voting today as DMK was not in the government, he told an election rally here.
