Uttar Pradesh's ruling Samajwadi Party MLA Irfan Solanki, allegedly involved in a clash between his supporters and junior doctors here, was tonight booked on charges of attempt to murder, rioting and voluntarily causing hurt.

An FIR was filed against Solanki at Swarup Nagar Police Station on a complaint made by Himanshu Kumar Singh, a medical student who was injured during the clash on 28 February.
