A parents' association of five students are protesting a Vadodara school's decision to suspend them allegedly over not attending a rally held by BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. The rally was held by Modi on 15 February to innaugurate a local stadium.

Jayalalithaa even appeared to move toward the BJP when she attempted to enact an anti-conversion legislation. The result: she lost power in 2006.
