President ‘concerned’ over hurry in ordinances by Narendra Modi

The president has signed an ordinance amending mining laws, that aims to swing a sector constrained by 50 year old laws allowing for considerable discretion, into an era of transparency and greater investments, according to the Ministry of Mines.
