There is no respite from the cold in North India. After heavy snowfall in Shimla, highways and roads in many parts of Himachal Pradesh were blocked on Friday.
The minimum temperature in Shimla was 1 degree Celsius and in Manali was minus 1 degree Celsius. Met officials said that heavy snow and rain will continue on Saturday as well.
Delhi, meanwhile, too saw unseasonal rainfall on Friday, making it the coldest day in February in 43 years.
