A wary Congress, post its Assembly poll drubbing will be going the extra mile to reach out to the minority community in the run up to 2014.
In its interaction with minority community representatives today, chaired by Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi, the party assured that the "UPA government will be taking steps" to ensure that innocent Muslim youth who have been booked in terror cases are set free.
Significantly, it was Samajwadi Party led UP government ( it has a sizeable Muslim votebank) which was thwarted in its bid to quash terror cases recently.
