In a rare gesture of unity, MPs stood united for Devyani in Parliament. Rajya Sabha unanimously condemned the public arrest and ill-treatment meted out to the Indian diplomat in New York by US authorities.
MPs across party lines came down heavily on the United States of America for humiliating India. Further, echoing the government's stand on the Devyani Khobragade arrest case, MPs demanded that the Centre should keep up the pressure on the US and negotiate as equals.
