In yet another indication of enhanced Pakistani activity in Kashmir, one terrorist was killed in a fierce encounter between Indian armed forces and infiltrators
In north Kashmir's Kupwara district one militant is dead in the gunbattle. According to reports, a contingent of the army came in contact with militants in Lolab area, more than 100 km north of Srinagar. Preliminary reports suggest that the operation by the army to comb an area after a tip off about militants presence was started around 5 pm last evening. The army suspects that there is a group of militants hiding in the dense forests of Lolab.
