The ruling Congress Party and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday engaged in verbal sparring over Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's critical letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and on a series of tweets that labelled the government's proposed Communal Violence Bill suspicious, violative of the Indian federal structure, malafide and guilty of framenting or polarising society.
