Soon after Shoma Chadhury, Tehelka's Managing Editor resigned, Editor Tarun Tejpal has written to the Goa police seeking time to appear before them till Saturday.
Tejpal stated in a notice written to the Goa police late on Wednesday night, that there was not enough time to go to Goa and that he cannot depose before them until Saturday.

Tejpal mentioned in his letter, "I am ready to cooperate with Goa police in the investigation."
