New Delhi: The Congress today hit out at the BJP disputing its veteran leader LK Advani's claim that the country's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru branded Sardar Patel as communal, and "exposing" the Opposition party's "double standard" over the pre-election opinion surveys.
Senior Congress leader and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari questioned Mr Advani's claim in his blog that Nehru branded his Home Minister Sardar Patel as 'total communalist' referring to excerpts from a book -- 'The Story of an Era Told without Ill Will' by M K K Nair, an IAS officer of 1947 batch.
