Sources: BJP's Manoj Sinha set to become Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh

Telecom minister, Manoj Sinha is all set to be elected as the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP), designate as the top choice for the post of new Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.

As per the sources, Manoj Sinha is headed to Varanasi and will go to Lucknow following the party meeting and a formal announcement tomorrow.

One of the front-runners for the job, Manoj Sinha was considered the top draw of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah’s in Uttar Pradesh.

Elected to Lok Sabha for the first time in 1996, Sinha is also a civil engineer and alumni of the Banaras Hindu University.

Riding on a historic mandate of 325 seats in a 403-member assembly, BJP is slated to return to power in Uttar Pradesh after a gap of almost 15 years.
