Hyderabad: Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy urged President Pranab Mukherjee to advise the Centre to reinitiate the state's division process by seeking a resolution from the state Assembly as per established conventions.

He also wrote to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh objecting to the 'shortcut' methods adopted by the Centre to push the state's division without doing any homework.
