India Debates : Are Netas using babas as a vessel for perpetuating identity politics?

Two babas with a substantial number of followers have hijacked the political discourse atleast for the day.
The Yoga guru Ramdev who is openly supporting Bhartiya Janata Party highly attacks the Gandhi family accusing them of framing his bother in a kidnapping case and on the other hand Swami Shobhan Sarkaar's chief disciple is aligned withe the Congress.
While this is not the first time that holymen are aligned with the political parties. It cant be denied that it is a deepening tendency and the worrying one for a variety of reasons.
