Unnao gold hunt 'Flops', ASI takes a stunning U-turn says 'Digging for Relics and not Gold' - NewsX

The gold rush in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao has begun with the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) starting the excavation work at the fort of former king Raja Ram Bux Singh in Duandia Khera village.

The excavation work is taking place on a mound near a Shiva temple in the village after a Hindu Seer Sadhu Shobhan Sarkar claimed that he had a dream in which the former king told him about a buried treasure.

But the latest U-turn is made by the government saying that no gold will be found inside and the digging process is done for relics and not gold.
