Earthquake hits Uttarakhand, tremors felt in Delhi-NCR

Tremors were felt across Punjab, Haryana and their common capital Chandigarh also after which many people rushed out of their homes.

Immediately after the earthquake, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to officials and took stock of the situation in various parts of North India.
