NewsX: Cyclone Phailin to make landfall soon, Army forces deployed

Severe cyclone nears the eastern coast, is expected to hit Odisha any time between 7 pm to 8 pm.
As the cyclone is just 80 kms off the Gopalpur coast in Odisha, the NDMA has released emergency numbers for Odisha and Andhra Pradesh.
About one lakh people were evacuated from north coastal Andhra as the cyclonic storm Phailin in the Bay of Bengal was set to hit the eastern coast by Saturday evening. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy said one lakh people were moved to relief camps. He appealed to people in low-lying areas to follow the direction of officials and leave their houses.
