NewsX: Former DU employee immolates herself over 'harassment', critical

A 35-year-old woman, working as a lab assistant at a Delhi University college, tried to immolate herself outside the Delhi Secretariat on Monday.
The woman, who alleged sexual and mental harassment by the college authorities, has been admitted to Lok Nayak hospital with 90 per cent burns.
Hospital authorities said her condition was critical.
Around 5.30 pm, the woman reached gate number 6 of the Secretariat, poured kerosene over her and set herself on fire. The driver of an official employed at the Secretariat rushed to her rescue and tried to put out the flames.
