NewsX: Union HRD Minister Pallam Raju resigns over Telangana issue

A day after Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi resigned, Human Resource Development Minister Pallam Raju has also resigned over the Cabinet's decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh.
Raju said his decision to quit has not been taken in haste. "I have not acted in haste, my decision to resign was carefully thought out," he said.
"It is a very sad day for Andhra Pradesh. I'm aggrieved the way the decision was taken in haste," Raju added.
Pallam Raju had offered to resign on Thursday too, but said that the Prime Minister asked him not to act in haste.
