Breaking News : Actor Sanjay Dutt granted 14 day parole for treatment of his leg

It may be a brief respite for Sanjay Dutt who has been in prison since May 2013, but the nation is asking on what grounds has the actor been granted 14 day parole for treatment of his leg ailment? Is the law lenient on Dutt because he is a celebrity?
Dutt who was lodged in Pune's Yerwada jail for the pat 4 months, was released on parole at 9:30 am today morning and has reached his residence in Mumbai.
Remember, Dutt's earlier application demanding a 30-day parole had been rejected by Pune Police. The actor was convicted by a TADA court for illegally possessing arms in Mumbai blasts. The Supreme Court had in March this year upheld his conviction under the Arms Act but reduced the six years to five.
He had already served a-year-and-half behind the bars before the apex court's judgment and is undergoing the remaining sentence.
