Government gets penny-wise but their measures are certainly proving to be pound foolish
Oil Ministry has proposed a plan to save government's fuel bill by launching a conservation awareness drive. But ironically it requires an expenditure of 30 to 40 crores. So the government spends crores to pay lip service in the name of austerity.
There are meaningless measures like car pool, usage of public transport, multimedia awareness campaign chalked out to save fuel.
