Staunch supporter of United Andhra, Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy met the high powered Antony Committee and impressed upon them to look into the grievances of Seemandhra people.

The CM in the past had expressed reservation against bifurcation of the state. Union ministers M Pallam Raju, Panabaka Lakshmi, J D Seelam, D Purandeswari and other MPs from the region also aired their views before the committee.

The Antony Committee was constituted by the Congress high command to look into the situation arising out of the decision to form a separate Telangana state. Other than AK Antony, the members of the committee are Veerappa Moily, Digjvijaya Singh and Ahmed Patel.
